The Boğaziçi University Department of Computer Engineering, bouncmpe for short, is a leading department recognized around the world and the finest computer engineering department in Turkey. With 20 full-time and 1 part-time faculty members holding doctorates, and close to 50 research assistants, it has the strongest academic staff in the country. Measured by its faculty members’ research and publications, it is the computer engineering department with the highest publication performance in Turkey. Our faculty members lead a wide range of research projects supported by the European Union and other international sources as well as by national research institutions. Each year our faculty and staff win awards worldwide and receive best paper awards for their publications, while our students place in a variety of competitions with their projects. Our graduates are admitted with scholarships to the world’s best universities for graduate study, both in Turkey and abroad, and go on to hold and grow into important positions at the sector’s leading companies.
